Pledge
Money has a sacramental nature. When your giving comes
from a generous and caring heart, we transform the material object to
possess and convey spiritual value.
That is, money possesses and conveys spiritual value
because of you; because something of your very self is offered
with it–— your work, precious energy, mind, intelligence,
dreams, and your longings. In this way, money becomes a spiritual
matter, and its use becomes a statement of faith.
We believe God is the source of life, our will, gifts,
and talents. We act out that belief in the ways we use God’s gifts:
when we offer it to some good cause, to someone in need. When we
use our gifts and our money in this way, they convey God’s grace,
and become sacramental. |
