Sarah Hawkey has served as Music Director for Space for Grace since the fall of 2010.  She has been a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church since the fall of 2006, and has been involved with the music program in varying capacities during that time, ranging from worship committee member, to choir member, to being a part of the Space for Grace Band. She values using different kinds of worship music in Space for Grace services, so one might find a single service with traditional Methodist hymns, well-known contemporary worship songs, American folk music or spirituals, newly published modern Methodist hymns, and worship songs written by band members.  Outside of church, Sarah is a classically trained soprano who performs in operas and ensembles throughout the New York City.
